Healthy families start with healthy births.
The homebirths of both of my children has shaped me as a person in ways I never knew existed before becoming a mother. It was those empowering moments where I looked self doubt in the face and overcame my own fears that has made me the mother I am today.
My daughter was born at home in my bedroom in August of 2010 with the help of a midwife. My son was born at home in January of 2012 with the assistance of 2 midwives and a doula.

It was through my own empowering experiences that I realized my desire to help other women achieve their empowering birth-no matter where that might be. I am currently working on my doula certification through Birth Arts International
I believe all women deserve to be valued and treated with respect. Birth is not just a physical act, it is a spiritual one, and an emotional one. It is the act that will shape who you are for the rest of your life. Ignoring the importance of the emotional and spiritual aspects does a disservice to the mother, to the child and to the community as a whole. Healthy families start with healthy births, and healthy births start with education and support.
